Tiffany McLaurin is a Social Media Sensation Known for “Closing Deals in Red High Heels”!

Some REALTORS® like to take a friend or two with them on home tours. Tiffany McLaurin takes about 12.5 thousand. As an Instagram influencer, she loves sharing her personal life and her passion for real estate with her many followers. Known for having impeccable style, Tiffany and her company, the McLaurin Realty Group, are now blazing to the top of the North Carolina market.
“I’ve been ‘Closing Deals in Red Heels’ since 2015,” Tiffany smiles. “Red is powerful, bold, fierce, and energizing. Red is me. When I switched to real estate from IT litigation, I decided to come in and do things the way I wanted and to be my authentic self. People notice me for my style and my hip marketing. Then, when they see how hard I work, they realize I am the total package. I offer the ultimate client experience.”
Considering social media to be the fastest way to get her message out, Tiffany announced her new career on Facebook when she was 27 years old. She was one of the first agents in North Carolina to share home tours on Snapchat. When Instagram offered a Story option, Tiffany made it the primary platform to share her day, showcase her team members, and post about real estate. Her Instagram Stories make followers feel like they are along for the ride. Today, about 25% of Tiffany’s clientele come from social media.
“That number used to be higher, but my referral-base has increased significantly during the last five years,” Tiffany says. “I attract amazing people, and they refer amazing people to me. My team and I closed ten deals last month, and half of them were from out-of-town agents that I am friends with on Instagram but have never met. I’ve also used social media to connect and interact with REALTORS® I admire in the local market.”
Instagram helped Tiffany find her Atlanta-based mentor, Angel Knight. “I love following Angel’s page, and I wanted to meet her,” Tiffany says. “She used to host ‘Agents Who Brunch,’ so I messaged her in 2015 and asked if I could attend. I went to Atlanta the day after Christmas and was able to network with amazing agents and get a ton of referrals. It was empowering to be surrounded by people like me and learn from their ideas. I still get a ton of Atlanta referrals, both from the brunch crowd and other incredible agents in the area.”
While in Atlanta for another connection she made through social media, Tiffany was invited to attend Christian Louboutin’s shoe-signing event at Neiman Marcus. She traveled back to Atlanta in October 2019 to have her own set of heels signed, and was delighted to see that she and the famous designer were wearing the exact same red-brimmed hat!
This year, Tiffany and her team of five are on track to close 100 houses. The McLaurin Realty Group services Charlotte, Raleigh, and the surrounding areas. “Real estate and the color red both ignite my soul,” Tiffany says. “I love helping people find exactly what they want, and I love doing it with style.”
