Professional and dedicated: Two words that highlight my initial impression when meeting with Matt Sarver. Recently recognized as a 2018 Five Star Real Estate Agent by Five Star Professional partnered with Charlotte magazine, Matt is the “rainmaker” at the helm of The Sarver Group (Keller Williams Lake Norman). Matt has been recognized as a Five Star Agent eleven years in a row.

Meeting with Matt and the group’s listing manager, Amanda Derrick, was an opportunity to get a glimpse into what makes this group stand out in the Lake Norman area. Pleasant and welcoming, Matt and Amanda shared how this team came together as well as a bit of Matt’s history of coming to the Charlotte area.

Matt, originally from Oregon, began working in real estate literally from the ground up. Initially working with a seismographic company brought Matt to the Charlotte area.

What exactly does a seismographic company do? In a nutshell, when land is cleared for development, rocks are blasted, and vibrations/aftershock is measured. Matt had a ground-level introduction to the two-hour radius around the Charlotte area. Having an interest in community development and building, real estate was a great option for this industrious gentleman.

In 2005, Matt obtained his real estate license. Not jumping ship from his present position, he slowly built up his tenure from 2005–2012. His tenacity allowed him to make it through the bumpy recession period as he worked dual jobs to ensure a smooth transition. In 2012, he had built up his business through the Dave Ramsey Program debt free. Focusing on building a team, Matt launched and became the team leader of the successful Sarver Group.

What makes this dynamic team different? With over 75 years of combined real estate experience, 700+ home sales since 2005, and $200 million in home sales volume, it’s the way the agents approach the clients that make this team stand out.

The team is comprised of Matt and his wife, Britt Sarver, both buyers’ and sellers’ agents. Amanda Derrick serves as listing manager with over 15 years of industry experience. Tara Boucher, a licensed agent as well, handles marketing. Danielle Federico is the listing/closing coordinator. Rounding out their team are real estate agents extraordinaire Aaron Dworsky, Brooke Eldridge, Monia Esposito, Cari Sherrill, and Amber Whitaker.

The Sarver Group works its magic with a marketing plan that has four main components: Pre-listing, Once-listed, Weekly/Bimonthly marketing, and Luxury marketing for homes $650K and above. Once a home is under contract
the top-notch service continues: a personal closing coordinator covers communications with an attorney, along with any contract and closing documentation. Thanks to this meticulous attention to detail, the entire closing process is tracked and managed for success.

Thanks to the way The Sarver Group manages its workflow, life for real estate agents is much less complicated. The support and security provided leave agents precious time and energy to focus on customer satisfaction.

The magic is working. A recent client, D. Meyers, commented, “Matt and his team were great to work with! They were quick to respond, and their expertise was outstanding. We were very satisfied with their marketing, responsiveness, respectful manner, closing process, and everything in between! We sold our house in less than two weeks during the Christmas break (how many sellers can say this?!). The members of The Sarver Group enjoy keeping up with their wonderful clients. Events such as Client Appreciation Day at Knights Stadium and an annual Thanksgiving Pie Giveaway are extra touches to the clients that extend beyond a typical transaction. Clients become family.

The entire group is active within their respective churches as well. Matt and Britt are very involved with Life Fellowship of Cornelius and love working good deeds within their community through “KW Cares” days. KW Cares is a group which has even spent a week cleaning up hurricane debris in Houston after Hurricane Harvey. Even when it’s de-mucking a flood-ridden home, this team is in it to win it for whoever needs their help.

Family time is precious to clients and is to the Sarver
Group as well. Matt and Britt understand family well, having five beautiful children of their own. From Jared, 12th grade, Emmalynn, 11th grade, Brooke, 10th grade, Seth, 9th grade, and Emma, 7th grade, the Sarvers are busy bees with
the kids’ activities, from track to football, to rugby and baseball, as well as college application processes. (Jared is an upcoming freshman at UNC Charlotte this fall.) The family enjoys the lake lifestyle which includes boating, swimming, outdoor concerts, and the like. Matt and Britt even manage to have a couple’s trip away once a year, the latest being to Punta Cana. Balancing everything is always a juggling act — and these two are expert jugglers, professionally and personally!

On track to hit 55 million in sales in 2019 and having closed 40 million in sales and 118 transactions in 2018, The Sarver Group is on a forward trajectory. We look forward to the future of this outstanding group.
