Moving on Up: Rachel Frazier’s career is climbing
Rachel Frazier gets things done. If you call, text, or ask her to send you something—she has the ability to respond before you’ve had a chance to blink. Excellent quality for someone who is helping folks make the most significant purchase in their lifetime!
Rachel has been a REALTOR® since 2014 with Genevieve Williams Real Estate. Starting out, Rachel was an assistant to Genevieve Williams and transitioned into a full-time agent in 2017. With her career volume of over $22 million and a current year volume of $6.5 million, she is consistently growing in her field.
What made Rachel dive into real estate?
Rachel reflects, “Since I was a kid, I’ve always passed by houses and wondered what the interior layout was like, the décor or the yard, or how people might use their space. In my 20s, I thought about getting my license while I was living in Washington, DC, but I worked full time and just kept putting it off. When I moved to Charlotte in 2013, I decided that getting my real estate license would be now or never, so I just took the jump and never looked back.” She elaborates, “When you’re a kid, you often pick an idealized career to become, and then as an adult, many people are left just kind of floating in and out of jobs that are just jobs and not a passion. I have found my passion, which also happens to be my job—and to top it all off, I’m great at!”
2020 has been a wild ride so far for Rachel, “entirely unpredictable,” she says. “I like to be a source of steadiness for my clients, even though we are in uncharted waters right now.” Consistency and a point of reference for all her clients, Rachel is always striving to be a rock in the unsteady path for clients. “I am the queen of facts and knowledge, so I want to continue growing my reach into as many areas and neighborhoods as possible,” she says, “so that when I’m randomly driving through a location, and someone asks a question, I can directly refer to a home (or homes) I helped sell as a point of reference.”
Frazier shares advice to new agents: “When you are working on a contract, look at the agent on the other side of the deal as being on the same team with you; you’re not adversaries, and your end goals are the exact same.” She also adds, “Trust the process! Clients are always nervous about finding the ‘right’ house or navigating through the Due Diligence Period, but with my career experience working on over 150 deals, I know how to guide my clients to success!”
Balancing a flourishing career and juggling a family is an art within itself. Rachel, a married mom of two handsome boys, is an expert at pulling everything together. The family loves to camp and “overland” with sons, Miles (7) and Bennett (4), to places like Asheville or the Uwharrie forest—even cross-country treks too.
In between family and work, Rachel finds time to volunteer at her older son’s elementary school, Shamrock Gardens Elementary. An avid reader and plant lover, she loves to garden inside or outside, and decorating with indoor plants is a favorite penchant.
Surprisingly, Rachel prides herself as an introvert. She knows her ability to connect with people on a deeper level makes her a better agent for her clients. For Rachel, success is a follow-up affirmation from referrals she received from past clients.
Rachel Frazier’s heart is in her work: “I do this work because I absolutely love it.”
