“I’m here to assist homebuyers any way I can. I’ll do my best to provide them with the best product and customer service,” says Tammy.
These are not just words but a testament to how Tammy works with her clients each day.
I was able to catch up with Tammy after she had a system outage, when she was working triple time to connect with clients the old fashion ways: on the phone, or in person. Not even a power outage will keep this gregarious and dedicated woman from helping her clients.
Tammy prides herself on treating all of her clients the way she would like to be treated. She loves to see satisfied, happy faces at the closing table; each dream of home-ownership come true is a reward for Tammy.
Tammy joined the mortgage world in 2004 when she decided to work part-time in her husband’s mortgage office. Loving the opportunity, she decided to leave her career of 22 years to make mortgage her primary focus.
Being in the business, Tammy has found education is critical, especially when working with first-time home buyers. Providing the knowledge to navigate through a potentially confusing process can make life easier for REALTORS® and their clients when purchasing a new home.
Tammy has a fantastic team that helps her in her daily efforts. She shares the glory with Deb Vernon Queen, Brooke Hanlin, and Heather Bertok; they are ‘key assets’ in her success with providing exemplary service to her clients and partners.
“Not only do I assist my clients with getting the best program for their mortgage needs, I also educate them along with the REALTORS®, as this is an important aspect of my responsibilities as well,” shares Tammy.
Jumping right into the community, Tammy is directly involved through continuing education classes. Meeting and working with new and experienced agents helps the team keep current on new loan programs and offerings. This gives them an edge as well in assisting clients with any questions that arise during the buying process.
“I host multiple events throughout the year that assist with education for REALTORS®. I hold several CE classes that not only educate but also assist real estate agents in getting in their education hours needed to maintain their licenses. We try to make them fun as most of mine are ‘CE & Cocktails.’”
Tammy even reaches out to share her knowledge with local builders. She explains, “I hold “Behind the Scenes” with builders to showcase to the REALTORS® the quality behind their homes. We had former Sherriff Carmichael with the Mecklenburg County Sherriff’s department do safety classes.”
Working with REALTORS® also includes “Pop By” events. She notes, “We have ‘Pop By’ events and help REALTORS® create items to assist them in getting their name out in specific neighborhoods.”Education for all is Tammy’s credo, and she is even willing to do the mortgage education classes for the general public. One of her passions is assisting first time home buyers. She adds, “I am also available to do First-Time Home Buying classes for the public.”
Along with the Education, Tammy is a strong advocate of Child Advocates of Iredell and Alexander Counties – CAIAC. The agency is critical to assisting in keeping children with their families instead of going into foster care.
Another passion for Tammy is RocSolid. RocSolid is an organization that is strongly supported by Atlantic Bay. Through their efforts at Atlantic Bay, the group builds incredible outdoor activity sets for children with cancer. “RocSolid is one of the most rewarding things I have participated in,” Tammy shares.
As you can see, Tammy Stowe is not just about names and numbers, but about serving people and needs. A pillar in her Lake Norman Area community, Tammy is one who can be counted on to respond – whether it’s the weekend or the evening. Even if there is a system outage, she will find a way to assist her clients!
