First and foremost, clients want a REALTOR® who can “get it done.” In the last 16 years, Lake Norman Homes Broker/Owner Maureen Roberge has earned a reputation for getting it done and doing it well! A passionate advocate for her clients, Maureen has $200 million in career volume and unsurpassed energy for all things real estate.

“I’m a bit of a bulldog,” Maureen laughs. “I always tell my clients we are a team, we are going to win, and I will protect you from A-to-Z. I didn’t have someone looking out for my best interests when I bought my first house. I knew then that I could do real estate better and more meaningfully. REALTORS® should always do their best and deliver a lot more value than just listing a home.”

A New Hampshire native, Maureen moved to Charlotte in 2005 and pursued her dream of helping people through real estate, graduating from the North Carolina Real Estate course at the top of her class. Two weeks after becoming licensed, Maureen landed her first deal and never looked back. Today, she’s a leader in the industry and an award-winning broker.

“I don’t sit down much,” Maureen says. “I’m usually up at 5 a.m. checking messages, preparing for my day, and getting things accomplished. Real estate is so rewarding! Navigating the market and helping people across the finish line energizes me. My goal is to build clients for life by putting their needs first and looking out for their best interests. Sometimes that means advising buyers to say ‘no’ to a property. It can also mean getting creative. I’ve helped sellers find places to rent so they can sell now without worrying about where to go next. We all know it’s a hot market, but that doesn’t mean people have to make decisions out of desperation. The market changes all the time, and I’ll work as hard and as long as it takes to find my clients the perfect home.”

Concierge service is a part of the package. “I take care of things to make life easier for my clients,” Maureen says. “I can get most things done in two seconds flat because I have a long list of reliable partners I trust, including appraisers, lawyers, surveyors, engineers, loan originators, inspectors, insurance professionals, HVAC technicians, stagers, landscapers, builders, handyman, general contractors, electricians, plumbers, roofers, painters, movers, and cleaners. I’m good at managing things others find overwhelming because I know what to do when. It helps keep things moving along.”

Maureen enjoys mentoring other agents and sharing what she’s learned along the way. “It’s a hard time to start in real estate without an existing clientele, but new agents can be successful if they are guided properly,” she says. “When people come to work with me, I can make them better agents in six months. I enjoy teaching my agents the tricks of the trade while ensuring they know how to do everything correctly, from presenting offers to following up after closing. Being a continuous learner is key. You have to change with the market, or you will be left behind.”

An active community member, Maureen is involved with Friends of the Animals, President of Executive Woman of Lake Norman, and the Lake Norman Chamber. She and her partner, Albert Walker, have a big, beautiful, blended family—including five children, two dogs, six Maine Coons, and one Norwegian Forest Cat Rescue.

“Dinner time is my favorite because it’s when the family comes together at the table, sits down, and talks about their day over a great meal,” Maureen says. “I like whipping up a complete Sunday dinner in the middle of the week for all to enjoy. We also love taking trips to the mountains or the beach and having spontaneous fun like going to the theater or a Panther’s game. My family is my #1 team.”

A Five-Star Agent since 2009, Maureen is as excited today about helping people as she was when she first started in real estate. “I never wanted to be an average agent,” she says. “I’m proud to say the majority of my clients are referrals, and Lake Norman Homes is known for its integrity, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Every real estate client deserves a broker who can get it done!”
