With a love for the mountains and ascending, Perry Wiese brings his
quest for new altitude to his career in real estate. Perry has a load of talent and penchant for meeting new people, which allows him to fit right in with his firm, Realty ONE Group Select. A natural go-getter,
Perry is well-suited for the “Coolture” that makes Realty ONE Group Select a special place for both new and existing agents.
With his zest for adventure and the high country, it’s no wonder that Perry is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone. As a “Mountaineer,” Perry was an Environmental Geology major with a minor in Business. He also has a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). After graduating in 2013, Perry moved to Charlotte to start his career. Moving to Charlotte was familiar as he is originally from Davidson, NC. Perry joined the workforce with a Civil Engineering firm as an environmental consultant/designer.
Although he was enjoying his role in the engineering field, Perry felt a want for more human interaction. With so many of his newly graduated friends moving to Charlotte, the real estate world opened
up with seemingly endless possibilities. Perry joined up with Keller Williams South Park in April of 2017. It was a great way to start his new career and leverage his network of friends and clients moving to the Charlotte area.
Joining Realty ONE Group Select in May of 2018, Perry expanded his growth as an agent. He currently enjoys helping clients all over the Charlotte and outlying areas. He services clients from Charlotte center city to Kannapolis, Gastonia, and even all the way down to Wilmington.
Looking back to his first closing, Perry recalls it was an exciting time. He was working with a couple who wanted to buy the wife’s sister a home to utilize as an investment property. Talk about jumping into the intricate details! Perry was navigating a buyer who was from out of town (Florida) and working with the future resident at the same time. He was a master of ample communication and made the process smooth for all parties. A home was found in the Mint Hill area, and Perry was thrilled for them as well as himself.
Perry was able to experience the renovations process with an investment endeavor as well. The owners of his first closing did project work over six months to update the home before the sister moved in. Once the house was ready, Perry was happy to help sell the sister’s previous home as well.
Perry’s biggest reward in real estate is his clients’ happiness. “The reward is definitely being with clients who become friends and helping friends, all who are starting a new chapter in their lives. Whether buying or selling, I love to be a vessel for others to achieve their goals,” says Perry. “Real estate is a customer-service based business, so it’s my job to fulfill needs, be there when needed, and, above all, listen to my clients and their goals.”
Perry is lucky to have had a vast network of agents within his current firm to be a resource. “Having other agents to reach out to with questions is such a benefit when building your sphere as well as your confidence,” says Perry.
Perry’s positive nature and caring side for others are how he ended up with his rescue pup, Stix. Stix is a 7-and-a-half-month-old Shepherd mix puppy. “The little fellow is very vocal and yelps at me for constant attention,” laughs Perry. “It’s a joy to have him.” Perry’s roommate found Stix abandoned on hunting land, and once Perry and Stix met, there was no turning back: Stix is a new roommate for life.
In his “off-the-clock” time (is there ever any for a bustling real estate agent?!), Perry enjoys hiking and heading to his favorite mountain spots in and around Boone. With the Appalachian Trail nearby to his Alma Mater, Perry enjoys taking time to ascend into the higher altitudes to enjoy the view as well as the serenity. Rough Ridge, near Grandfather Mountain, is a popular hiking path that Perry enjoys as it gives an opportunity to pull off the beaten path and explore mother nature’s great views. Spots near the viaduct on the Appalachian Trail are beauties as well.
Giving back to the local community, Perry is active with the “Guys and Dolls” fundraising auction. In his second year with the organization, he will be a mentor helping his mentee gather items and put together an auction package for the event which benefits Cystic Fibrosis. The live auction is held at the Gala which takes place at the Hilton Uptown Charlotte. For his first year, Perry put together a “Fishing the Carolinas” package and worked the event to gather bids throughout the night. In 2017, he raised over $7,500 through the fishing package bids and separate donations.
Perry is always actively working and serving others. He credits his days as a scout to his solid ethics and strong desire to help make the world a better place. Over his tenure in the scouts, Perry achieved the coveted rank of Eagle Scout. His love of working with people has also garnered him a position on the Appalachian State Alumni Board for the Charlotte Metro Chapter.
Whether working with real estate customers or volunteering in the private sector, Perry puts others first in his life. He is truly a Rising Star who will continue to reach new peaks of success.
