“Faster than a speeding bullet.” “More powerful than a locomotive.” These phrases come to mind when thinking of Bobby Sisk. Constantly working to bring the best service and quality to his clients, Bobby rocks the Charlotte real estate market with his sales savvy and ability to multitask.
With close to 15 million in sales so far this year, it’s no wonder this fellow is moving at the speed of light. He’s had his real estate license for seven years and has been an active agent for five years.
Catching up with Bobby Sisk had me on my toes. Taking a moment to chat with me, Bobby was in between working with clients, attending multiple showings, and even staging a house. Yes, this man has a plethora of talents from real estate to people skills to home décor. The best part is that, while in many different directions helping multiple people, Bobby never loses his shine or positive attitude. He was juggling many balls, but with the skill of a professional juggler.
While he loves helping others find the home of their dreams and goes the extra miles to do so, Bobby is more the “behind the scenes” guy in person. He has achieved mass success in the real estate world, but prefers a more low key
personal side. He loves to center attention on his clients rather than be the focal point. His quiet intensity and low-pressure manner may just be the keys to his phenomenal success.
It could be a ‘catch 22’ that Bobby is taking time out of the spotlight, because this successful agent had a booming career in the spotlight before he entered the real estate field. Working as a TV Anchor/Reporter, Bobby has traveled throughout the United States. He has reported and anchored the news in Little Rock, Arkansas to Boston, Massachusetts, with a 12-year stint in Charlotte in between. Falling in love with the Queen City, Bobby decided to make it his forever home when he returned from Boston in 2014.
Leaving the bright lights and action of the life of a TV anchor, Bobby eased into utilizing his people skills in a different direction: real estate. He had a love for décor and had been staging while working in television, so he was able to jump right in and explore that side of his talents. With close family members who’ve bought and sold investment properties for years (he bought his first house at 21), he had grown to have an understanding of the market and how the process worked. He also enjoyed the fast-paced momentum that it brought. The action and pace were similar to the world of TV news.
The pace of real estate can include so many moving pieces: client wish lists, time tables on inspections, walkthroughs, showings, and closings, to name a few. It can be overwhelming to a first time home buyer as well as a seasoned veteran home buyer. Bobby excels at pulling all the components together easily. When asked about what he loves the most about his career in real estate, Bobby replied, “I love to help people by making this big, important process go smoothly. It’s like putting the pieces of a puzzle together to give the client the best possible outcome.”
Bobby is one-man show, which is impressive. He has no assistant at the moment, though he may add one in the future. (He or she will definitely need running shoes to keep pace with this go-getter.) Managing his business solo, Bobby is able to utilize his time effectively to make everything come together.
Challenges do exist, of course. Bobby notes, “There is a continual learning curve in the real estate business. The process, like the paperwork and regulations, is a changing entity, so keeping sharp and up to date is the key. You run into a ‘difficult’ client now and then, but you find a way to deal with even the most challenging of requests.”
As far as free time, Bobby is pretty basic and honest. “I look at the years of 45-52 as being in ‘work mode’ and staying focused in my career. I do love to spend time in the mountains since I grew up in the mountains of Arkansas, so Blowing Rock is a great getaway. I have a cabin there, and it’s a great place to recharge my batteries.”
