Morgan is a North Carolina native, born and raised in the small town of Reidsville, NC. For those not familiar with Reidsville, it is located just outside of Greensboro. Morgan went on to earn her marketing degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2014, and with her love of the Carolinas, she settled in Charlotte seven years ago – loving its close proximity to her family.
After she graduated from UNC, Farver worked in corporate America, but soon tired of the big-business treadmill.
Farver recalls, “After college, I had a few marketing positions with corporate jobs in Charlotte. I found that trying to climb the corporate ladder was not all that it is made out to be. I started to discuss real estate as an option with my, at the time, fiancé, John Phoenix. Having his support and guidance really drove me to get my license. Real estate was a way for me to set my own goals while also finding genuine value in using my expertise to help others navigate the real estate world.”
Since obtaining her real estate license in 2019, Morgan currently has a career volume of $14.7 million, selling $7 million in 2021 alone.
Farver found her niche with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolina Realty (South Park). “After interviewing with a few different firms, I was lucky enough to talk with the Sheryl Bare, at the time broker and charger at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty in South Park, and was more than sure I found the perfect place for me. The amount of support I received from the moment I stepped in the door was incredible. After a few months of learning the ropes, I was fortunate enough to join the John Siddons team under BHHS. John Siddons and team has been recognized as a top team for BHHS nationwide, so I knew I was joining a powerhouse.”
When asked about advice to new agents, Morgan notes joining a team is key to getting a leading edge in growing your business.
Life is exciting for Morgan inside and outside of work – sometimes the lines even cross over, especially when one’s fiancé is in a similar industry!
Morgan shares, “I am newly engaged as of January and planning a wedding for next year! We are both excited to celebrate with friends and family. My fiancé is John Phoenix, and he is also a broker in the real estate world. He is a senior associate for Cushman & Wakefield selling multifamily apartments in the North and South Carolina regions. We often find ourselves talking about real estate WAY too often, but we love it!”
The couple loves to try new restaurants in Charlotte, sharing happy hours with friends, and golfing at our club Pine Island Country Club. Family time, especially with her new nephew, is equally important to Morgan. When this busy lady gets out of the Queen City, she enjoys venturing to Wrightsville Beach.
When asked about the best parting advice for this feature, Morgan was all about the upside: “My advice, that I often must remind myself, is to stay positive. Every transaction will have its own unique challenges, no matter how experienced you are. Whether it is a scary inspection, low appraisal, or a new wild scenario in this ever-changing market, having an optimistic outlook is the best way to learn and find the right solution.”
