Check out our adorable Rising Star Robin Murzynski Mann with Sold in the Carolinas with Keller Williams!
When I asked Robin Mann for her headshot, she sent me this amazing caricature of herself as “Super Hero Robin.” I knew instantly that I liked this lady!
Not only is Robin in the business of real estate, but she is also in the mode of helping others as a precursor for everything she does. She lives by a credo of being a “helping hand,” whether personally or professionally.
With a background in nonprofit work, Robin has a passion for working with people to bring out their best and to be their best. She has an uncanny ability to read and understand everyone she meets and make them a friend. As well, Robin worked with the Community Blood Bank of the Carolinas, where she was a successful recruiter for critical blood type donors. With her savvy people skills, Robin was able to meet and exceed her goals regularly. Robin has also worked with InReach, a nonprofit which provides services to persons with intellectual and development disabilities.
Robin’s college background in art allows her to communicate and reach individuals through various mediums and outlets. The talented and creative Robin has also worked with Wine and Design, with InReach as the studio director, and owned a face painting business.
Robin’s love of houses and people led her into real estate. After taking classes to obtain her real estate license, Robin successfully passed her real estate exam and jumped into her new career.
When asked about her first listing, Robin remembers, “It was a next door neighbor I knew casually from coming and going. When we chatted at the curb, he mentioned he was going to list his house. I told him I just received my real estate license and would love to help him out. He invited me in, and we listed his home shortly after – it sold in 12 days!” A super start to Robin’s new career, indeed.
Her adventure has only grown from that point. With 36 million in career volume over four years, Robin has steadily built her sphere from a base of neighbors, friends, and work colleagues. Over the past four years, she has helped over 125 families either sell or buy their homes. Her signature email tag notes she has averaged more than one closing per week in 2017 and 2018 and was ranked #195 in sales volume out of over 16,000 real estate agents in the Charlotte
area. Her enthusiasm and tenacity resulted in her being named one of the “100 Most Influential Real Estate Agents in Charlotte, NC” by Real Estate Executive magazine.
Robin’s business, Sold in the Carolinas, is part of the Keller Williams Family. With Robin’s rapid growth, she has added an assistant to allow her to reach more of her clients and increase her personal touch in her services. From sending Valentine’s Day cards to clients’ kids to delivering Thanksgiving pies to her customers, Robin is thoughtful and creative in her outreaches.
When asked if her superhero jump into real estate had any speedbumps, she recalls, “Everything the first year was new – I had no idea of the therapy aspect involved in real estate. So many clients are going through life changes: divorce, the death of a spouse, downsizing, upsizing; all kinds of life changes that bring many emotions into the transactions.”
Robin is not afraid to cold call or knock on doors, either, to reach new clients. One of her most successful endeavors resulted from door-knocking and was a culmination of selling eight condos in the same complex in the Cotswold area.
Super Robin is generous with her personal time. Three particular charities come to her forefront: Hinds Feet Farm, Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, and Playing for Others. Robin is looking forward to a trip to Greece this June that she won in a silent auction to support Hinds Feet Farm. The trip starts in Venice with a cruise through the Mediterranean Sea that even includes stops in Croatia. It will be ten days of well-deserved relaxation for Robin. My guess is that she will still keep her phone handy in case any of her wonderful clients need her in an emergency!
Robin treasures time with her lovely family. She and her husband, Wally, have two beautiful children, Chloe, 18, and Griffin, 17. Chloe is attending Guilford College and Griffin is a senior at Parkwood High School. He is interested in attending Savannah College of Art and Design.
Speaking of college, Robin met Wally on her first day of college at St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, NC. It was a cute story as he was introduced to her through friends at an evening event. However, Wally told her he spotted her at lunch and called “dibs.” Married for 20 years and together for 28, his intuitive call was on point for the beautiful relationship that the two share today.
The two also share a love of animals; they have four cats that are all named after characters in the movie, ELF. Jovie (girl), Myles (angry elf), Walter (Buddy’s dad), and Francisco (office guy). They were all rescues and stole the family’s heart at first sight. They also have two dogs, Ron Swanson and Louise. The dogs are rescues as well keeping with Robin’s desire to give forever homes to pets in need.
Robin loves to work in the yard. Pruning, planting, and just playing in the dirt are relaxing activities for Robin. She loves the simplicity of watching things grown and thrive.
With so many things moving and grooving, Robin is sure to keep growing and helping all of the folks she meets along the way!
